Kiera Finds Her Dream Job With Help From Enable Works

Keira Employability Day

Kiera was referred to the Enable Works Individual Placement Support Service in Dundee in October 2021 to help her find employment. She had a variety of skills and experience, and she was interested in working in an active role.

Kiera's IPS Employment Coordinator, Robyn, helped her to update her CV and develop her employability skills. Robyn also helped Kiera to find suitable job roles and submit her CV to local Out of School Clubs.

In January 2022, Kiera received two job offers for Playworker roles. She accepted one of the offers and started her new job in February 2022.

Kiera loves her new job, and she enjoys working with the team she is a part of. She has a good level of responsibility, and she feels that the job is a great fit for her skills and personality.

Since starting her new job, Kiera has moved out of her family home and into her own flat. She has also built on her confidence and has recently been on STV News talking about her journey to employment.

Kiera has now been in her job for 12 months and she is still loving it. She is also continuing to volunteer at the community garden, where she has been volunteering for almost two years.

Kiera is very grateful for the support she has received from the IPS Service with Enable Works, the Community Mental Health Team, the Duntrune Community Garden, and her employer. She says that without their support, she would not be where she is today.

Robyn, Kiera's IPS Employment Coordinator, is very proud of Kiera's achievements. She says that Kiera has achieved so much personally and professionally, and she is a great asset to any team.

Kiera is an inspiration to others who are looking for employment. She shows that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
